Sorry for a lack of activity, college and crap got in the way :-/ And posting the same quiz I did last year isn’t much of an update (considering how pessimistic I've gotten in the past year )...

1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Went to work
Saw a panda for the first time (in person) at the San Diego Zoo
Came out as bisexual to most of my friends (which would probably be better known as “queer,” since I have no effing clue )
Started living with my long-time best friend in a new dorm (which I don’t care much for…but my roommate’s awesome, so it’s cool )
…and got a really crappy first kiss *facepalm*

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make?
2009
Do well in my first year of college—OMG, I actually kept to one of my resolutions, with a 3.0 in the second semester
…and declare my Poli Sci major—Uh…try English. Not doing so well in the Poli Sci department…English, on the other hand
Become more active in more groups—Also did, adding my college’s chapter of Gay-Straight Alliance. BEST. DECISION. EVER.
Better control over my money—Eh, kind of…at least I have a job now in case I go crazy with the extra cash
Be less stubborn about trying to improve my art—Haha…uh, no. Well, I wasn’t as “artsy” this year, so it’s hard to tell :-/

2010
Lose weight (stereotypical resolution FTW! …but the campus workout center—where I get in for FREE—is 2 BLOCKS from my dorm! Just need time to go…
Get another 3.0 this coming semester, and maybe each one after that (which I would have had…if I hadn’t made a D in one class—which I thought I failed—which got me a 2.8 :-/ )
Get my ass further out of the closet (Kinda kills the point of me being some equal-rights activist if I can’t accept myself :-/ )
Be more creative this year (i.e. blog more often, draw & upload more on dA/TLKFAA, write (for crying out loud, I’m an ENGLISH major!)
Get a job I actually enjoy (didn’t do it when I had the chance, so I’m stuck with it for now. Don’t really want to quit, either :-/)
Try not to judge people so quickly (I notice that whenever I meet someone, it’s like I immediately have to decide whether I like them or not, and that opinion is permanent…
Don’t worry so damn much (…mostly relates to resolution #5. It’s a bit too personal to talk about here, but issues with a past friend, who I haven’t spoken to in about a year and a half, is ruining my 2010. Dammit, the year just started yesterday, and classes aren’t till next week :-|

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope, not this year

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not unless several cool celebrities count Other than them, no…

5. What countries did you visit?
Mexico, for about an hour…word to the wise, if case you don’t know, Tijuana is way overhyped….

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
-10 pounds Nah…self-confidence.

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory?
January 20th—Mr. B.O., we do disagree on things, but I like that you’re my president
…and that’s about it. God, this was kind of a boring year. :-/

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Making good grades in college, despite being stressed beyond belief for much of the year. Sounds like a nice achievement to me

9. What was your biggest failure?
For the second year in a row, I can’t follow my favorite movie’s advice—"Put the past behind you" I make it way more complicated than it should be :-/

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yeah, had a nasty sinus infection over the summer, and got hit with a cold early during my winter break. Still have a stuffy nose I can’t seem to get rid of

11. What was the best thing you bought?
A rainbow-patterned wallet, which only cost 4 bucks. I don’t lose crap anymore!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Once again, my best friend…generally a cool person, but for just being my rock this year. I love him, and wouldn’t trade a “bestie” like him for anything or anyone else

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My own, for depressing myself way too often

14. Where did most of your money go?
Food, textbooks...I’m a college kid, so there’s not much of a difference

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Nothing really…except for #7, it was kind of a boring year :-/

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2008?
“Boom Boom Pow”—The Black Eyed Peas (“I’m so three-thousand and eight, you so two-thousand and late!”
“Bad Romance”—Lady Gaga (One: Come on, 2009 was so her year, and two: this song is so true :-/ )

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?: Sadder, actually…but I’m trying to stay optimistic
ii. thinner or fatter?: Fatter! (again *groan*) College food is too easily accessible…especially when your place of employment serves that crap
iii. richer or poorer?: Richer, actually…I have a job

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Worked on more art/short stories/ blog posts; hung out with my friends more (at least during the second half of the year)

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastination FTW! Work (if that was possible…damn the 20 hours/week rule :-/ ), worry…

20. How will you be spending/did you spend Christmas?
At home with my family on the day itself, then I hung out with my amazing best friend (see #12) the next day

22. Did you fall in love in 2009?
*sigh* Yeah, I guess…not really sure if it means/will mean anything, though

23. How many one-night stands?
Came close but, thankfully, NO.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
GLEE!!!

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Same as last year: I prefer the term "strongly dislike" And not going into it!

26. What was the best book you read?
Wicked and Son of a Witch, both are excellent and deserve yet-to-be-drawn fanart. Please read them, and see the musical too!

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
See #24 And I “re-discovered” John Mayer…been rather obsessed with “Battle Studies” lately

28. What did you want and get?
A job *groan* And about everything I wanted for Christmas (cool gifts, nice time with loving friends and family, and a period of sanity!)

29. What did you want and not get?
…more sanity/self-confidence?

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
It’s nearly a tie between Up and Star Trek. Note: I haven’t seen Avatar or The Princess and the Frog yet!

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
20; went to TGI Fridays with a ton of friends and family. Though not as awesome as my 21st might be, it was pretty cool

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If I just left the past alone for once

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Same as last year! “ Lazy bum inside, live American Eagle ad outside”

34. What kept you sane?
My friends and family, especially the one in question #12

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Mmm...Chris Pine...(Captain Kirk 2.0, of course)

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Tons actually…same-sex marriage passing/failing in several states, the whole health care fiasco…

37. Who did you miss?
My college friends, as usual.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Too many, I met so many awesome people to pick just one
